My Story

Well, to start off I began with delving into the modern perspectives of love. So this meant that i had to come up with some sort of comparison with the past. So what I now know is that-
Love in the past was provisional. They were more for financial and social stability, and so the trend of arranged marriage was rampant.
Today, love is more emotional, seen by the trend of getting to know one another and 'clicking' before a relationship is formed. And so, dating is more of a trend today.
But, this 'progression' from materialistic satisfaction to emotional 'satisfaction' is not necessarily all good as the emotional bonds formed are being broken by otheer emotional bonds, for e.g. the whole 'bros before hoes' concept which acts as an unspoken law for men to never put matters involving love before matters involving friends.

So, with this in mind, I have formulated a DV which is-
How the emotional bond developed with a loved one can be broken by other existing emotional bonds.

I want to portray this from the viewpoint of a teenage boy, caught between a girl he loves and his friends who mean a great deal to him. I want to do this as issues which deal with emotions tend to degrade or get stronger due to the bonds killing each other off. In society today, everyone has someone he or she likes, but more often than not, never gets to be with this desireed person, and one of the most important and influential reasons is due to the presence of friends.
Doing this, will allow the audience to see what has happened or is happening to them and around them when it comes to affairs revolving around love and friendship.
